Sue's first letters for 2013

Attached is my contribution, in time for 6 Feb 2013! I have chosen the names of countries around the world and then their word for "Peace" Not sure about 'X' for a country but will think of that nearer the time!

I wish you lots of peace.

 Sue in South Africa.

    1. Thank you, Gemma! Massimo's influence with the Roman Cursive script which I am enjoying very much. The Peace Sign I carved into a wine bottle cork. I am also very happy to have obtained some Art Spectrum Inks here in Port Elizabeth. Unfortunately the dealers are not importing anymore because of the exchange rate. :( With warm greetings to you!

  2. I really like these letters and the hand you are using for the countries - it's very nice! The touch of gold and the use of the peace symbols to unite them works really well too - you are off to a flying start!

  4. I love it! There is an orientalish quality to the design that makes it elegant and subtle. Fun and decorative too. I like the white backgrounds and the Peace symbols joining the letters.

  5. You may have to go with "x" in the middle... Luxembourg or Mexico?...maybe if you look at the country names in another language besides English there might be one that begins with "x".

    1. Hi Sally, Thanks for your suggestion! Another language may be the route to go. We have an African tribe here in the Area where I live who are known as Xhosa but that would be a cheat! LOL! I look forward to seeing your creation too. Best wishes, Sue
