Hello fellow 'letter a weekers' ...... Please forgive me for posting my entire alphabet today, and not coming along each week to post and comment. I have just had a delightful long look through all the posts in this blog and am very glad I looked once I had completed my very loose and free interpretation of the 'peace' alphabet and not beforehand otherwise I would have felt the need to make a far more beautiful alphabet.
Here it is though, and I hope once I have worked out the binding, it will look more interesting .... or will I bind it. I haven't yet decided.

Susan, I'm allowing myself a quiet chuckle at this. I have been so tied-up in other things, I have not done my letters for weeks (no space to sit with an open bottle of ink and a drawing board).
ReplyDeleteBut, like you, I will probably post the 26 at one go.
Bound, mounted or stacked, I think I can see how they will look.
I am so glad I am not the only one who has not been posting .... there are so many gorgeous alphabets there in the blog. One just has to close eyes and forge ahead! Looking forward to seeing what you have done ....
DeleteThis is very clever! I really like how individual the small ones are, but on the whole make up peace. Rather a statement I think.
ReplyDeleteSandy in the UK
thanks Sandy. Not very original when I look at the creative letters many of the group are doing. I have not yet decided whether to bind the book so that when it unfolds you can see the original work or keep it ambiguous. I guess I will go for ambiguous.
DeleteThe whole idea is beautiful, the patterns from each shot look exquisite on their own....I love them all.
ReplyDeletethanks Sandra - tired to keep my letters looking more like marks. I think I prefer them as individuals rather than the whole piece - or peace!
DeleteSusan- I love how you photographed the gradual coming together of the separate parts to reveal Peace!-Julie
ReplyDeletethanks Julie. Nothing like the effort you have put into your alphabet which is amazing. So often photographs make out work look more interesting I think. When I have a shelf of 'alphabet books' in the years to come, I may make a book from some of the photographs ......
DeleteJust wonderful Susan - I love it! I loved watching it appear and I love the alphabetical marks...great shots! And I think a book of alphabets book shots would be great.
ReplyDeleteLove them every which way, Susan - looking forward to seeing what you come up with re presentation.
ReplyDeleteIt is so beautiful!
